Ingredients (2 servings)
- Meat: 200g sausage (frank or Vienna), 200g Spam (sliced)
- Vegetables: 1 potato, 1 onion, 1 stalk green onion, mushrooms (enoki, oyster, etc.)
- Optional: Ramen noodles, cheese, rice cakes
- Broth base: 1L water, dried anchovies, kelp
- Seasoning: 2 tbsp gochugaru, 1 tbsp garlic, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp baked beans or doenjang
Step 1: Prep the Ingredients
Slice sausage, Spam, potato, and onion. Neatly arrange all ingredients around the pot for a beautiful presentation.
Step 2: Make the Broth
Boil anchovies and kelp in 1L water for 15 minutes. Remove kelp after 10 minutes to avoid bitterness.
Step 3: Assemble and Cook
Pour broth into the pot with arranged ingredients. Add gochugaru, garlic, soy sauce, and baked beans (or doenjang). Boil on medium for 10 minutes.
Add mushrooms and cook for 5 more minutes. Toss in ramen noodles right before serving so they stay chewy!
Serving Suggestions & Variations
- Add cheese and rice cakes for a kid-friendly twist.
- Use leftover broth for fried rice or Budae-style tteokbokki.
